Ajani Burchall ruled out for the season through injury
Ajani Burchall says he is looking forward to making a full recovery and getting back on the football pitch at the earliest opportunity after a knee injury ruled him out for the rest of the season.
The Aston Villa academy player suffering an anterior cruciate ligament tear and meniscus injury in training two weeks ago.
The 17-year-old underwent successful surgery at a London hospital yesterday and is expected to make a full recovery.
“Unfortunate that my season has come to an end, but on the upside operation went well,” Burchall posted on his Twitter account. “Looking forward to getting back to full fitness.”
The Villa Academy also took to social media to convey their well wishes to the player who arrived at the club from Bournemouth in July 2021 with high expectations.
“All the best on your speedy recovery Ajani,” read a statement posted on their Twitter account.
