Bermuda to face Haiti in Dominican Republic in final Nations League encounter

The Bermuda Football Association have confirmed that the national men’s team will face Haiti in the Dominican Republic in their final Concacaf Nations League group B fixture.

In the second international window of matches in the competition, Kyle Lightbourne’s squad will host Guyana at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium on March 25, before travelling to the Dominican Republic to face Haiti three days later. The match venue will be confirmed at a later date.

The final fixture had remained in doubt because of continued civil unrest in Haiti due to a deterioration in the humanitarian situation which has caused regular protests and demonstrations across the country.

Heading into the fixture, Bermuda sit third in the group on four points, six adrift of leaders Haiti, but crucially only two below Guyana, keeping lingering hopes of securing a Gold Cup play-off spot for finishing second alive.
