Bermuda goalkeeper Dale Eve signs for Alvechurch
Bermuda goalkeeper Dale Eve has completed a transfer to Southern League Premier Division Central side Alvechurch.
The 28-year-old has joined from National League North side Hereford and looks set to fill the void left by Dan Jezeph, who has joined league rivals Nuneaton Borough for the upcoming campaign.
Eve, who has been capped 24 times by the national team, the last of which came in March in a 3-1 defeat against Haiti, also featured for Bedford Town, Stourport Swifts and Hanley Town on dual-registration terms last season.
Alvechurch, who finished eleventh in the table in the previous campaign, confirmed the deal on their Twitter page.
“Welcome to the Church. Major coup for us capturing a National League North and international keeper,” the statement read. “
Dale joins us from Hereford and will again team up with new keeper coach Neil Reeves for the upcoming season.”
Having come through the academies of Derby County and Stoke City, signing his first professional deal with the latter in 2012, Eve later went on to have spells with Fleetwood Town, Forest Green Rovers, Ilkeston, Rushall Olympic and Spennymoor Town.
