Bermuda set for tough test against Belize in Concacaf Under-15 Championship quarter-finals
Bermuda coach Vashun Blanchette is relishing his side’s quarter-final clash with Belize in the Concacaf Under-15 Boys’ Championship in Curaçao on Thursday.
A resounding 4-0 victory over the Cayman Islands on Tuesday helped secure a second-place finish in group G, and with it, progression through to the knockout stage.
Blanchette saluted his players for navigating their way through a challenging group, as he prepares for what he expects to be a tough test against Belize, who topped group F.
“We are pleased to have qualified from a very competitive group,” Blanchette said.
“The boys have acquitted themselves well both on and off the field. We are looking forward to the opportunity to play in the quarter-final and anticipate a challenging match.
“We will have to be at our best in order to achieve a positive result.”
