Kenni Thompson seals move to Bournemouth
Kenni Thompson has completed a move to Bournemouth after leaving Spanish side Eibar.
The Bermuda winger, who came through the youth ranks at Espanyol and Barcelona, heads back to England after previously enjoing spells with Chelsea and London City Lionesses.
The 23-year-old, who made her international debut in a 2-0 defeat against Dominican Republic in December, is relishing the opportunity to help second-placed Bournemouth challenge for promotion from the National League Division One South West, starting with a potential first appearance for Steve Cuss’s s side at home to Swindon Town on Sunday.
“I'm really excited to be part of the group and part of the project going on here. To be on the pitch wearing the shirt will be a great feeling,” Thomspon said to the club’s website.
“I think what excites me most is that there is the ambition from every level, not just the people that are involved on the pitch day to day. People at the club are ambitious for the women's team as well.
“It's a great group of girls and I really enjoyed my first session. Promotion is always the goal, but we know we need to win all of the games to get there and I'm here to try and help that.”
