Clinical Kane Crichlow scores five in FA Trophy win
Kane Crichlow notched an impressive five-goal haul to guide Bishop’s Stortford into the last 16 of the Isuzu FA Trophy with a 6-1 thrashing of Aldershot Town.
In a clinical display in front of goal, the Bermuda forward completed a first-half hat-trick inside 25 minutes, before adding two more goals after the interval as his side ran out comfortable winners and sealed their spot in the next round.
“It was a good game from us, we matched them very well,” said Crichlow who joined the team last month. “This was my first professional hat-trick so it’s a great feeling.”
Bishop’s Stortford owner-manager Steve Smith hailed Crichlow’s performance.
“Kane Crichlow had five chances and scored five goals, which is phenomenal,” he said Moments like this don’t happen very often and that is an unbelievable result.
