Nahki Wells plays part as Bristol City earn FA Cup replay

Still in with a chance: Nahki Wells and his Bristol City side travel to The City Ground for FA Cup replay against Nottingham Forest (File photograph by Bristol City FC)

Nahki Wells came on as a second-half substitute as Bristol City earned an FA Cup fourth round replay against Premier League side Nottingham Forest after a goalless draw at Ashton Gate.

Wells replaced Tommy Conway in the 77th minute as Liam Manning’s side searched for a late goal, but the Bermudian could not find the target to separate the two sides.

City still have a chance to claim another Premier League scalp when they travel to the City Ground at a date yet to be announced, with a spot in the fifth round beckoning the Robins.

After beating West Ham 1-0 in a third-round replay on January 16, City have now kept consecutive clean sheets in the FA Cup for the first time since January 2017, when their defence was resolute twice against Fleetwood Town in the third-round.

While their defence was not breached, City were disappointing in front of goal, with nine of their shots off target, while Forest threatened Max O'Leary’s goal twice from seven attempts.
