Nia Christopher seals return to Eagle FC

Welcome return: Bermuda’s Nia Christopher has resigned for Eagle FC in the USL W League

Nia Christopher will remain an Eagle FC player for the upcoming campaign.

The Bermuda forward enjoyed a stellar campaign with the Pennsylvania-based club in the USL W League last season, scoring 11 goals, contributing three assists and named in the team of the year.

Christopher, who has scored seven goals in 11 international appearances, spoke of her delight at the prospect of returning to the club for the coming year.

“It’s an honour to be back and to play for the Eagle FC USL W League team,” she said. “It is a great opportunity to play at a high level with a great group of players who have a goal of continuing to want to play at the highest level.”

The club were equally delighted to have Christopher remain for another season.

“Eagle FC Women would like to welcome back current Bermuda senior team player Nia Christopher to the 2024 USL W Roster,” the club said in a statement.

The 22 year-old concluded her time with Towson University with an impressive record of 41 goals and 17 assists from 66 appearances, going on to become the programme’s all-time leading scorer

Her performances led to her inclusion in the All-CAA Conference first-team, as well as a host of accolades, including being named the 2023 CAA Conference Attacking Player of the Year.
