Promotion hopefuls Robin Hood and Boulevard battled to a stalemate at Goose Gosling Field last night.

Justin Pitcher’s 17th minute own goal gifted Boulevard the lead before former Blazers player Clay Darrell grabbed a 37th minute equaliser to earn Hood a share of the spoils.

The result leaves Hood in fourth, a point behind second and third place Wolves and Southampton Rangers, who are tied on 20 points. Blazers remain sixth, three points adrift of the remaining promotion spot on offer.

Hood and Blazers were originally due to face off last week on Thursday, but the match was postponed and rescheduled owing to the torrential rainfall throughout the day.

Unbeaten Devonshire Colts clinched the First Division title with four games to spare courtesy of a 5-1 demolition of Somerset Eagles at White Hill Field on Sunday.

Wolves remained in the thick of a tight race for the remaining promotion spot with a 3-1 win over St David’s Warriors, while fifth-placed Vasco beat bottom team Ireland Rangers 3-0 to keep their own promotion hopes alive.

Southampton Rangers had a bye.
