Harry Twite named in under-20 squad for Concacaf Championship
Defender Harry Twite has been named in Bermuda’s squad for the Concacaf Under-20 Championship qualifier in St Kitts & Nevis this month.
The 18-year-old, who made his debut for the senior national team during the Concacaf Nations League and was also at the Island Games in Guernsey last year, is among the 20 players named in coach Cecoy Robinson’s squad for the games against Jamaica, Grenada and Martinique.
Bermuda’s squad also features attacking midfielder Daion Swan-DeSilva, who is enjoying a brilliant season in the Premier Division with title contenders North Village as well as United States-based goalkeeper David Martin and striker Andrew Armstrong.
Bermuda will kick off their campaign against Grenada on February 24 before playing Martinique on February 26 and Jamaica on February 28, with all matches to be played at the SKNFA Technical Centre in Basseterre.
Only the eventual group winner will advance to the 2024 Concacaf Men's Under-20 Championship, where they will be joined by the six pre-seeded top-ranked nations.
Robinson’s squad depart on Monday for Miami, Florida, where they will finalise preparations for the tournament during a training camp before arriving in St Kitts on Thursday.
Bermuda are attempting to make their second appearance at the Championship, having previously featured at the event in Costa Rica in 2017, where they were eliminated in the group stage.
