The Premier Division title race could be decided in the final game of the season after the Bermuda Football Association confirmed that the match between PHC and North Village on Saturday has been postponed.

The title rivals were due to meet in the penultimate fixture of the season at Bernard Park this weekend but the match has been moved as a result of Bermuda’s trip to Saudi Arabia for the new Fifa Series.

Four North Village players and coach Kenny Thompson are scheduled to fly out to Saudi Arabia on Friday, resulting in the Village/PHC clash being rescheduled to the week of April 1 on a date to be confirmed, with the match set to provide a thrilling conclusion to the Premier Division season.

“In light of the departure date, Friday, March 15, of the Senior Men's National Team resulting in the unavailability of four players and their team coach from North Village, the Competitions Committee has deemed it necessary to postpone the Premier Division match originally slated between NVCC and PHC on Saturday, March 16,” the BFA said.

North Village, who eased past Young Men’s Social Club 5-0 on Sunday, hold a one-point advantage at the top of the standings after PHC were held to a draw by Paget Lions 24 hours earlier.
