Wilton Re to sponsor Devonshire Colts youth programme for four years
Devonshire Colts have secured a new lead sponsor for their youth programme in Wilton Reinsurance Bermuda.
The deal, which will last for four years, covers Colts’ development age groups from 5 to 15 and will ensure 20 coaches and around 125 players receive the best focus not only on football development but on character buliding and forming healthy relationships.
Brendan Kemp, chief financial officer of Wilton Re, has a personal connection to the club as a parent of one of the colts, and is delighted he has the opportunity to provide much-needed funds.
“I have been very impressed by the community that Devonshire Colts coaches, parents and community volunteers have created to uplift young boys and girls from all backgrounds,” Kemp said.
Zuri [Darrell] and his wider team selflessly volunteer their time and Wilton Re Bermuda is proud to support this important community programme. Devonshire Colts is committed to making a player’s football experience an inspiring and positive one. GO DC!”
The sponsorship will support the continued improvement and development of programme offerings which aspire to continue to have a beneficial impact on the youth and by extension, their families, and the community.
Darrell, president of Devonshire Colts, is excited on how the deal will benefit his young players.
“We are grateful to Wilton Re for becoming the Devonshire Colts youth programme lead sponsor over the next four years,” Darrell said.
“Their generous support is instrumental in moving our programme to new heights as we look to expand our offerings and continue to serve the community. Their shared belief in our principles of sportsmanship, unity and character is a testament to the progressive work we are doing to develop our youth into better footballers and overall positive members of the community. We look forward to working together towards a future filled with growth, success, and shared accomplishments.”
Devonshire Colts offers a comprehensive youth football programme accepting boys and girls as early as 3 years old and competes in the Bermuda Football Association’s children’s, youth, and senior leagues.
