Trott sets half marathon PB

Road runner Sean Trott broke his personal best for a half-marathon as he ducked under one hour 10 minutes in Philadelphia yesterday.The 2011 Island Games half-marathon bronze medallist finished 22nd overall in the Philadelphia Half-Marathon with a gun-to-tape time of 1.09.38.His computerised chip time was three seconds faster.Trott, 21, finished third in this year’s May 24 Half-Marathon before representing Bermuda at the Island Games on the Isle of Wight, England, where he also finished third. He started this year off by stylishly winning the Bermuda Triangle Half Challenge during the Bermuda Marathon Weekend.The overall winner of the race in Philadelphia was US-based Kenyan Samuel Ndereba in 1.04.05.
