Bermuda’s Maria Duffy finished 19th in her age group during the ITU World Triathlon Sprint Distance Age Group Championships yesterday in London. Duffy was competing in the 60-64 age group, alongwith her husband Charles who finished 44th while Neil de St Croix finished 33rd in a very strong 45 to 49 age group.Six of the 24 local triathletes competed yesterday in wet and slippery conditions, with Duffy the standout performer despite taking a wrong turn on the bike at the end of the second lap that cost her about a minute in her time.Also competing yesterday were Steven Petty (41st in the 60-64 age group), Matthew Claridge (87th in the 30-34) and Carolyn Conway (15th in the 55-59 age group).
