Nick Pilgrim finished a respectable eighth out of 75 athletes at the Pleasant Prairie USA Triathlon Cup in Wisconsin at the weekend.

Pilgrim, 15, representing Endorphin Fitness, finished in an overall time of 31 min 03.3 sec after splits of 5:30 for the swim, 15:34.09 for the cycle and 9:19.09 for the run.

Graham Tuohy, of Denver, won the elite junior race in 30:14.01.

Tyler Smith, who represented Bermuda at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, Australia, in April, competed at the German Triathlon Bundesliga at the weekend.

The 19-year-old finished seventeenth out of 80 starters to help his five-man team, Weicon Tri Finish Munster, place fifth out of 16 in the sprint-distance race.
