A large number of students, parents and staff will be heading back to school on Sunday, as they take part in the Warwick Academy and Fiji Water Fun Run and Walk from 2pm.

Starting and ending at Warwick Academy, the route will take runners from Morgans Road and then along Harbour Road, before reaching turn points depending on the distance being undertaken, 1.5K, 3K or 5k.

Harbour Road will be officially closed for two hours from Morgans Road to Tamarind Vale making the race course safe for all competitors.

All students taking part will receive a special WA badge, while there will also be several individual prizes for the runners in the various age groups over each distance.

Anyone wishing to sign up can do so by visiting racedayworld.com. Prices for the event are $15 for children, while adults prices range depending on the distance undertaken, as follows; $15 (1.5K), $20 (3K), $25 (5K). Number collection will be available on Saturday from 9am-11am at the Warwick Academy main entrance on Middle Road.
