Butterfield places seventh in Boulder

Tyler Butterfield produced a strong display at the Ironman Boulder with a seventh-place finish at the weekend.
Butterfield, who is hoping to qualify for the Hawaii Ironman World Championships, which will be held in Kona on October 12, in a time of 8hr 41min 37sec.
The 36-year-old had splits of 54:09, 4:22:46 and 3:18:20.
“Boulder IM didn’t disappoint, what an amazing race!,” Butterfield tweeted. “I might of looked ho-hum out there towards the end, but I enjoyed the whole day looking back on it [few painful moments], but got what I expected.”
