Flora Duffy spent her Christmas morning wrapping a dog-bite wound rather than presents after having her leg nibbled during a morning ride in Worcester, Western Cape.

“My Christmas started with a little bit of drama,” Duffy wrote on Instagram. “Rolling out for a ride and a dog bit me on my lower leg. Luckily, I’m fine and nothing a tetanus shot & antibiotics can’t fix. Merry Christmas everyone!”

She is preparing for the start for the ITU World Triathlon Series, which begins in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in March.
