Martial artists shine in virtual event
The Bermuda Triangle Championships tournament held this past weekend were well attended by schools in England, and all over the United States.
Bermuda had 15 competitors representing four schools and some outstanding results were produced in the virtual event.
Tabata-Ha Shotokan Karate-Do had ten students competing, with Callahj SImons playing second in kata and first in weapons, while Massanda Vaughans was first in kata and second in weapons.
Maiya Caisey, Amiel Trott and Charles Ndiaye all placed first in kata, while Amarriah Vaughans and Zachery Simons were second in kata. Khwai Mendoza , Rakeysha Robinson and Staicya Smith all placed third in kata.
For the Bermuda Karate Institute, Shane Smith was second in kata, Suzanne Erricson second in kata and Fancie Bowens Tucker eighth in kata.
Dominique Brown, representing the Zenji Ryu Karate School, placed first in kata and weapons.
For the Harto Dojo, Seri Fisher was first in musical weapons, second in “krazy athletics” and seventh in kata.
