Myeisha Sharrieff and Jaydon Roberts will carry Bermuda flag at Junior Pan Am Games
Swimmer Myeisha Sharrieff and archer Jaydon Roberts have been named as Bermuda's flag-bearers for the inaugural Junior Pan Am Games in Cali, Colombia.
The announcement was made by the Bermuda Olympic Association.
The pair will lead the island's athletes as well as support personnel during the championship's opening ceremony, which will be held inside the Estadio Pascual Guerrero today, starting at 6pm.
The Junior Pan Am Games will take place in the South American city from November 25 to December 5 and was established to provide a platform for developing athletes from across the region and as a build up to the 2023 Pan American Games as well as the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
All 41 countries and territories under the Pan Am Sports umbrella have committed to sending a team to the competition.
Bermuda's team consists of 12 athletes, Nicholas Pilgrim (triathlon), Roberts (archery), Sharrieff and Finn Mosley (swimming), Robin Horsfield (mountain biking), Daniel Phillips (tennis), Kaden Hopkins and Conor White (cycling – time-trial and road race), Nic Narraway (cycling – road race), Adriana Penruddocke and Benn Smith (sailing) and Isabelle Dutranoit (athletics).
