BNAA Cross-Country Series resumes at Botanical Gardens
Organisers expect a bumper field to compete for honours during the second race of the 2022 Bermuda National Athletics Association Cross-Country Series at Botanical Gardens today.
Over 80 participants have already entered the event which is being hosted by Bermuda Pacers Track Club.
“We are hoping to have a nice group,” Cal Simons, the race director, told The Royal Gazette. “I think at the last one we had 70 or 80 runners there so we are hoping to get a full package.”
Once again runners ranging from under-ten to 69 will compete in their respective age groups.
“The first race starts at 8.30am and races will normally run within fifteen minute intervals right until they get up to the senior category,” Simons added.
“Medals will be presented to the top three runners in each age group.”
The BNAA Cross-Country Series consists of four events and will culminate with the National Championships at Botanical Gardens in December.
