Pre-race favourite Sean Trott wins Lindo’s to Lindo’s 10K
Sean Trott lived up to pre-race expectations after sealing victory in the Lindo’s to Lindo’s 10K Run on Sunday.
The 33-year-old was among the leading contenders in the annual race, which started at Lindo’s Family Foods in Warwick and finished at Lindo’s Market in Devonshire, crossing the line in 34min 18 sec, just 20 seconds clear of Thomas Mills.
Seamus Fearon completed the podium places finishing third in 35:41, slightly ahead of Moses Mufandaedza 35:55.
Maria Kemiji-Mcdonald was the first female to cross the line, clocking 41:20, which was good enough for eighth-place overall.
The event also consisted of a four mile competitive walk, with Mike Watson taking the top honours in a winning time of 38:07, ahead of Jasmine-Blaire Majors in 38:51, with Paul Hayward (39:01) rounding out the top-three places.
More than 250 competitors came out to support the event, which serves to raise awareness of diabetes and generate funds for the Bermuda Diabetes Association.
