The 2023 Gnosis Bermuda National Squash Championships starts on Monday night with Noah Browne and Micah Franklin set to renew rivalry.

The pair have taken each other on in three successive finals with Browne getting the better of Franklin on the last occasion. This year, they may not get things all their own way with youngsters Anaya Smith and Taylor Carrick hungry to cause an upset, while the experienced Nick Kyme is also a regular contender

Eilidh Franklin is the No. 1 seed in the ladies draw, with the main challengers Rachel Barnes and Emma Keane off island and unable to compete in this year’s championships.

Despite their absence, Franklin will need to remain focused as there are still plenty of challengers with Joann Bielby training hard in preparation for the event, while 17-year-old Izzy White is looking to make a name for herself.

With plenty of action in multiple age groups, there is bound to be a good crowd on show, while there are also B division and C division matches to accommodate all standards of players and give them the best matches possible.

Matches start at 5.45pm on Monday at the Bermuda Squash Raccquets Association, with the tournament continuing until Friday night.
