Dage Minors and Gayle Lindsay star as hundreds take to streets
Gayle Lindsay is on the verge of a clean sweep in this year’s Legends Series after extending her winning streak in the Ludwig Cann 10K race.
Lindsay had already mopped up the Ed Sherlock 8K and the Ray Swan 8k, which took place just last week, and she again proved the one to beat on Sunday morning, dominating the women’s race on a course that started and finished at Astwood Park.
Stopping the clock in a time of 39min 58secs, Lindsay finished more than two minutes clear of her nearest rival Maria Kemiji-McDonald, with Karen Smith finishing third.
Lindsay’s time was good enough for a fantastic sixth overall, with the race won by Bermuda’s Front Street Mile champion Dage Minors.

He had finished runner-up, beaten by just a couple of seconds in last week’s Ray Swan race, but went one better here in a time of 32:42, with Sean Trott and Moses Mufandaedza chasing home Minors at a respectful distance.
Lamont Marshall, who leads the men’s standings after winning the first two legs of the Legends Series, was not in action but will surely looking to be crowned champion in the final leg, the Sir Stanley Burgess 5k, which takes place on May 7
