Bermuda’s Kellan DeSilva was awarded the Mount Allison University swim team’s Male Rookie of the Year at their annual athletic awards evening.A sprint free specialist for Mounties, DeSilva is a former standout swimmer with the Sharks Swim Club and has also competed in the Caribbean Games, the Alberta Provincials, the Canadian Nationals, and at Coral Springs, Florida.He is a graduate of Warwick Academy, and is currently in his first year of Arts at Mount Allison, majoring in English.“Kellan had a great year as a Mountie swimmer,and swimming personal bests in the championships bodes well for his future in the pool,” said coach John Peters.
