Madelyn Moore finishes 36th in World Championships opener

Madelyn Moore kicked off her Fina World Championships campaign in Budapest, Hungary, yesterday.
Competing in the women’s 50 metres butterfly, Moore finished sixth in heat four, touching the wall in 27.48sec, nine tenths of a second adrift of race winner Maria Ugolkova, of Switzerland, and 36th overall.
Moore, who has been selected among Bermuda’s 17-strong Commonwealth Games team, will return to the pool today to compete in the 50 freestyle.
