Another day at the Swimming World Championships in Doha, Qatar, and another national record for Emma Harvey.
The Bermudian, who broke the 100 metres backstroke record on Monday, did the same in the heats of the 50 metres backstroke when lowering her previous best of 28.75 secs which she set at the Central American and Caribbean games last June, by nearly half a second.
The time of 28.34 was also good enough for her to qualify for the semi-finals as the tenth-fastest of the 55 heat swimmers.
The 22-year-old failed to make the final after finishing seventh in the semi-final in a time of 28.47, with her overall finishing position fourteenth.
