Elijah Daley and Sam Williamson have picked up bronze medals for Bermuda on day two of the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championships in Mexico.

Two of Bermuda’s best male swimmers both made it on to the podium in the 200 metres individual medley, with Daley picking up his medal in the 15-17 age group and Williamson successful in the 18 and over category.

Daley, 17, touched the wall in a time of 2min 9.30sec to finish third behind Liam Carrington, of Trinidad & Tobago, and Rafael Arizpe Arriaga, the home favourite from Mexico.

Williamson, 19, finished in 2:08.03 just over six seconds behind 24-year-old Erick Gordillo of Guatemala, with Maximiliano Cuevas, of Mexico, finishing second.
