Bermuda select three swimmers for Short Course World Championships

Elijah Daley on the podium after winning bronze medal at CCCAN Championships

Bermuda will send three swimmers to the Short Course World Championships next month.

Elijah Daley, Logan Watson-Brown and Sam Williamson will represent the island in Budapest, with the event taking place between December 10 and 15.

Daley, who won a gold medal for Bermuda at the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championships in Mexico in June, will compete in the 100 metres and 200 metres butterfly in the Hungarian capital.

Watson-Brown was another of the island’s medal winners at CCCAN and she will take part in the 100 metres backstroke and 200 metres freestyle.

Williamson was part of the Bermuda squad for the Pan American Games in Chile last year and won a bronze medal at CCCAN in June. He will take on some of the world’s best swimmers in the individual medley over 200 and 400 metres.

The three athletes will be accompanied to Budapest by national swimming coach Shona Palmer.
