Pomander Gate to host Highland Spring Junior Tennis Tournament
Some of the island’s most promising future prospects will battle for honours during the upcoming Highland Spring Junior Tennis Tournament.
The tournament is open to boys and girls in various age categories at the Pomander Gate Tennis and Pickleball Club from July 10 to 14.
Players aged ten and under will compete solely in singles with the developmental green dot ball, with older age groups competing in both singles and doubles, with all of the participants to receive a Highland Spring event cap and goodie bag.
A prizegiving ceremony will be held immediately after the Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association-sanctioned tournament concludes with refreshments to be provided.
Players and parents are urged to register online ahead of the deadline, which expires on July 3.
The event has featured many of Bermuda’s present top players since its inception more than 20 years ago, including Daniel Phillips, who made his debut for the island in the Davis Cup Americas group three in Paraguay last week.
