BHI launches study into hotel industry

The Bermuda Hospitality Institute yesterday launched a study into why locals left tourism in the 1990s.BHI CEO Karla Lacey said the study would Government and the private sector create meaningful policies and programmes to help grow Bermudian participation in the industry.“The BHI recognizes that at one point in time the frontline of the Island's hospitality industry was mainly staffed by Bermudians,” she said.She said the group wants to interview people who voluntarily left the industry between 1990 and 2000.People interested in participating in the study should contact BHI at 2955049 or email info[AT]bhi.bm by February 15.Related websiteswww.bhi.bmwww.bermudatourism.comwww.experiencebermuda.com
