The Island was awarded air time by two US broadcasters this week, courtesy of CBS Radio’s partnership with the Bermuda Department of Tourism.Hundreds of thousands of listeners in the Washington, DC and Baltimore area covering Delaware, Maryland and Virginia tuned into live broadcasts from the Island, by radio hosts LaVar Arrington and John-Paul Flaim.Mr Arrington, a former Washington Redskins linebacker, teed off at the Ross (Blackie) Talbot Celebrity Pro-Am at Rosewood Tucker’s Point, as well as airing his Washington, DC-based radio show, 3pm to 7pm, yesterday and Monday.‘The LaVar Arrington Show with Chad Dukes’ is carried by Washington’s 106.7 The Fan.And Mr Flaim’s 7am to 11am morning show ‘The Junkies’ finishes a three-day run of Bermuda broadcasts today.The show is broadcast on Washington, DC’s WJFK 106.7FM and Baltimore’s 105.7FM.
