JetBlue flight diverted after pilots note fuel loss

A JetBlue flight travelling from Boston to the Dominican Republic was diverted to the Island yesterday after it was discovered the aircraft was losing fuel.LF Wade International Airport general manager Aaron Adderley said: “The 150-seat Airbus 320 aircraft with 51 passengers on board, had experienced a significant loss of fuel whilst in flight.“Upon arrival at 2.20am, the aircraft was met by Airport emergency personnel. The cause of the fuel loss was identified and later repaired by local mechanics from Renaissance Aviation.”After refuelling, the aircraft departed at 5.20am, continuing on to Santo Domingo.
