Tourism Minister Shawn Crockwell flew a total of 17 trips since taking office, with the Government fact-finding mission to Singapore running up nearly $50,000 in costs.
The tab for January’s trip was given in response to parliamentary questions by Shadow Minister Wayne Furbert.
Airfare was the Singapore trip’s biggest expense: $38,842 for Mr Crockwell, Attorney General Mark Pettingill and a technical officer. Accommodation cost $7,446, and meals were $509.
Daily expenses accounted for $1,717, and $308 for ground transportation.
The technical officer who travelled with the two Ministers is listed as a policy analyst from the Attorney General’s office.
