Magazine writer gives Island a glowing review
Bermuda has been highlighted in the spring edition of Interval World Magazine.
The quarterly magazine is sent to around two million members of Interval International, which links customers to timeshares and resort properties in 75 different countries.
Writer Barb Freda, who describes herself as a “frequent, long term visitor”, praises Bermuda’s beauty and character while detailing a visit to the Island, starting at the Swizzle Inn and ending in Dockyard.
She highlights the historic buildings of St George’s, including the Bermuda Perfumery and the St George’s Historical Society Museum, adding: “Sometimes I simply wander the bygone byways — Old Maid’s Lane and Printer’s Alley — with no particular destination in mind.”
Ms Freda also notes the snorkelling and scuba diving opportunities on the Island, the attractions of Dockyard and the shopping of Hamilton in the five-page article.
Illustrating the article are pictures of a sunrise on Warwick Long Bay, St Peter’s Church in St George’s and the shops of Front Street.
Ms Freda concludes: “Unfortunately it won’t be long now before I’m departing the Island all together, but no matter how many times I visit the Dockyard and the Deliverance and Horseshoe Bay — or how many swizzles I have — I always look forward to seeing them again on my next trip to Bermuda.”
