Owners of vacation rental properties have been given extra time to register.

The deadline to sign up, originally last month, has been set for August 24, according to the Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism, and the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Properties that fall under rent control and non-rent control will have until then to submit their completed application forms, a spokeswoman said.

She added: “Forms and information can be found at https://www.gov.bm/vacation-rentals-fact-sheet, under the Resources section, or hard copies of the application can be collected from the Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism Headquarters located at 30 Parliament Street, Government Administration Building, third floor, or the Department of Consumer Affairs located at 75 Reid Street, the D. Rego Building, third floor, floor in Hamilton.”
