Horseshoe Bay makes list of best island beaches
A Bermuda bay has been listed as one of the best island beaches in the world by a top international travel magazine.
Condé Nast Traveler included Horseshoe beach in Southampton among its 25 best island beaches – the second time in a month the magazine has singled out the island.
Caitlin Morton wrote: “While it may be one of the most popular beaches on the island, Horseshoe Bay has a hidden secret – Port Royal Cove, which has shallow water perfect for young kids and dramatic rock formations that complement wonderfully soft, pink sand.
The article, published last Thursday, also highlighted the Hamilton Princess as an ideal place to stay.
Ms Morton said that the hotel and beach club took tenth place in the magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards survey for best Atlantic island resort.
She added that the rooms had “modern amenities and contemporary design” and advised potential visitors to rent one of the Signature Rooms that overlook Hamilton Harbour.
Bermuda was spotlighted by Condé Nast Traveler on December 1 as one of the 21 best travel destinations for 2021.
