Airline service to almost double next month
Flights to Bermuda will almost double next month with the number of scheduled flights a week soaring from 19 to 37.
The May flight schedule released yesterday by airport operators Skyport included the return of United Airlines, which will offer a daily service to Newark from May 6.
British Airways, which has operated one flight a week, is to move to three flights a week from May 18 with planes lifting off from Bermuda on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
JetBlue will more than double its service to Bermuda on May 9 with an increase the number of flights to New York and Boston.
Flights to and from both destinations will take place six days a week – every day except for Tuesdays.
The April schedule included only two flights a week between Bermuda and New York along and three flights a week between Bermuda and Boston.
Delta will increase service to New York and Atlanta from May 5, adding a Wednesday flight to New York and a Sunday flight to Atlanta.
American Airlines services between Bermuda and Charlotte will remain unchanged, with flights leaving five days a week.
