Air service to and from the island has increased slightly this month with three new flights per week added to the schedule.

The October flight schedule, released by Skyport, includes 34 flights to and from the island a week, compared with 31 at the end of September.

American Airlines has added flights between Bermuda and Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to make the service daily.

British Airways has added a Wednesday service between Bermuda and London Heathrow.

The extra flight means BA will offer five flights a week between the island and the UK, with services on every day except Monday and Saturday.

All of the new flights are scheduled to start next week.

JetBlue service between Bermuda and Boston is scheduled to largely remain at six days a week – every day except Wednesday – although the flights are not on the schedule for Saturday or October 31.

Despite no scheduled SATA Airline or United Airlines flights – both of which concluded service last month – the total number of flights per month rose slightly from 142 to 146.

Daily JetBlue service to New York will continue this month the month and Delta Air Lines will continue to serve Atlanta and JFK, with four flights a week to the first destination and three to the latter.

Air Canada will run flights between Bermuda and Toronto on Fridays and Saturdays.
