Updated: Oct 15, 2021 03:47 PM
Front Street received a rare visitor this week with the arrival of The World – the world’s largest residential yacht.
The ship arrived in Hamilton on Wednesday morning and was due to depart this afternoon after two nights at port.
The World measures 644ft and features 165 luxury “homes” on board, along with multiple restaurants, golf facilities, tennis courts and a full-sized cinema.
While the ship was forced to halt for more than a year because of the pandemic, the luxury vessel returned to the sea in July with Bermuda among its first destinations.
The World is scheduled to visit Charleston, South Carolina before travelling to destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico.
