Harbour Nights to return on June 1
Harbour Nights returns on June 1 with Butterfield back as lead sponsor, the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce has announced.
Hamilton’s colourful street market from 7pm to 10pm is to run for 14 weeks until the end of August.
Butterfield will host the final evening — and pledged to cover 50 per cent of the associated application fees for vendors.
Prospective vendors should contact info@bcc.bm or call 295-4201 for an application form, with submissions due before May 9.
Event details and entry requirements are also available.
Bermuda’s longest-running street festival, which is free and open to all, will dominate Front Street in keeping with nearly 30 years of tradition.
Along with vendors, Harbour Nights includes local artisans, crafters, chefs and live entertainment.
Kendaree Burgess, chief executive of the Chamber of Commerce, welcomed Butterfield’s continued support.
“By covering 50 per cent of vendor fees, Butterfield significantly reduces their bottom-line commitment, meaning they are able to maximise the economic opportunity and exposure,” Ms Burgess said.
“We have been able to put in place a great event for 2022, and endeavour to provide a Harbour Nights that mirrors our pre-pandemic offering.
“You can expect to see the return of the Kids Zone as well as Gombeys and other live local entertainment.”
Butterfield’s managing director in Bermuda, Michael Neff, said the bank was pleased to back the much loved community event and support the island’s vendors.
“We look forward to the return of many elements that weren’t possible last year and encourage everyone to come along and join in,” he said.
