Flights to Miami are expected to return in the first week of November, according to the Bermuda Tourism Authority.

A spokeswoman for the BTA said that while the daily American Airline service to the city is scheduled to halt on September 6, it is believed the service will resume on November 3.

“The AA Charlotte and Philadelphia flights continue to offer connections to the rest of American Airlines network,” said the spokeswoman.

“During this period, we will also take the opportunity to extend our advertising activities in key focus and nurture markets in line with the strategic aims laid out in our National Tourism Plan.

“The BTA will continue our ongoing conversations with our airline partners to explore new opportunities and look forward to the scheduled return of daily flight service from our gateway cities.”

The service is one of three set to halt in September as United Airways ends its seasonal daily service to Newark, New Jersey on September 6, and Sata Airlines ends its weekly summer service to Ponta Delgada, Azores on September 13.
