Bermuda gets tourism boost from TripAdvisor
Bermuda has come back into the tourism spotlight this month as the island was highlighted as one of the top destinations to visit this Spring.
In a recent article, popular travel website TripAdvisor listed Bermuda as one of the best destinations to visit this March alongside Rome, Barcelona, Whistler, Cancun and Siem Reap in Cambodia.
The website said: “Temperatures are in the high 60s and low 70s in March in Bermuda and although the ocean still might be a little chilly for some, the pink sandy beaches are a lovely spot to relax with a book if you’re not up for a dip in the water.
“When you’re not relaxing beachside, a must-visit is Crystal Caves, where you can get a guided tour of Bermuda’s natural wonder of formations of stalactites and crystal clear pools.
“For the best photo ops, see the island by foot or bike on the Bermuda Railway. Swim the subterranean caves and grottos with azure water mangrove ponds at Walsingham Nature Reserve and Blue Hole Park.
“During your March stay, take part in the Bermuda Beach Art Festival where locals and tourists reserve beaches to create art in sand using rakes.”
The National Post also highlighted the island in a recent article, encouraging readers to “get lost in Bermuda”.
The article by Debbie Olsen celebrated the “magical” pink sand, the historical Dockyard, the island’s caves and tours offered by both Kristin White and Doreen Williams-James.
She added: “If we had stayed put on the pink sand beach we found on our first day, we would have enjoyed our visit to these islands, but it wouldn’t have been the same.”
