Harbour Nights set to be ‘largest and most exciting yet’
This summer’s Harbour Nights season is set to be bigger than previous years with almost 100 vendors taking part in the weekly street festival.
Amanda Duncan, marketing and events specialist for the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce, which organises the event, thanked vendors for their “overwhelming” response, adding that the selection process was highly competitive.
She said that 104 vendors applied for a licence, and 94 licences have been issued.
Ms Duncan said: "We are absolutely thrilled to have received such an overwhelming response from our local business community.
“The quality of submissions was exceptional, making the final decision a challenging one. Each vendor's passion, creativity, and commitment to showcasing the best of Bermuda played a crucial role in shaping the diversity and vibrancy of this year's event.
"The record-breaking number of vendor applications speaks volumes about the resilience and determination of our entrepreneurs. We are confident that this year's Harbour Nights will be a truly unforgettable experience for everyone attending."
Harbour Nights will take place on Front Street between 7pm and 10pm every Wednesday from May 24 through to August 31.
Applications are still open for vendors who want to take part in July and August.
Ms Duncan thanked event sponsors, volunteers, and partners who have contributed to the event in the past.
She said: “The Bermuda Tourism Authority and the Corporation of Hamilton in particular deserve a special mention for their dedication and unwavering support, which are invaluable in creating a world-class event that showcases the very best of Bermuda.”
Companies and organisations wishing to sponsor the event are invited to contact the chamber here.
