Bermuda tourism marketing efforts commended
Bermuda’s tourism marketing has won recognition from a global hospitality body.
The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International has given the Bermuda Tourism Authority four of its Adrian Awards for the first time since 2018.
The awards from the United States-based HSMAI are given to hospitality brands and agencies for creativity and innovation in advertising, communications and campaigns.
The BTA was recognised for “outstanding marketing and advertising achievements” at the ceremony in New York on February 13.
Bermuda took a silver award for Best Integrated Campaign — Business to Consumer and a bronze in Best Advertising Brand Campaign.
The BTA took a bronze award for Best Destination Marketing Organisation Website.
Jamari Douglas, the vice-president of marketing, PR and communications, received an award in the category of Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Sales, Marketing and Revenue Optimisation.
Tracy Berkeley, the chief executive of the BTA, called the accolade a proud moment that “reflects our team's dedication and passion for promoting Bermuda as a premier destination”.
Mr Douglas said that the recognition was also “a source of pride for Bermuda”.
“A Bermudian-led team conceived and executed these campaigns, showcasing the talent and creativity of our island.
“This recognition is a testament to our strategic and creative approach to showcasing Bermuda's unique allure.”
