Bermuda athletes in Carifta podium finishes

Kyrah Scraders and Sakari Famous produced podium displays at the Carifta Games in Bahamas yesterday.Famous captured the Island's first medal at this year's regional junior championships being held at Thomas A Robinson National Stadium.Competing in the Under 17 girls high jump, the relative of Hall of Fame jumper Clarence (Nicky) Saunders recorded a leap of 1.65 meters to claim the silver medal.Middle distance runner Scraders also copped a silver medal after finishing second in the Under 17 girls 1500 meters respectively.Bermuda National Athletics Association (BNAA) have confirmed that her time of 4:39:43 is a new Bermuda junior record.Competition continues today.
