Lewis reaches event finals

Jessica Lewis, the Bermuda wheelchair athlete, has qualified for the finals of the 100 and 400 metres at the Parapan Am Games in Toronto.
Lewis, 22, won her heat in the 100 in 16.85sec with the fastest time overall before placing second in her 400 heat in 1:04.98 with the third quickest time overall.
Tonight Lewis, Bermuda’s first paralympian at the 2012 London Olympics, will compete in the T53 classification 100 final at the Parapan Am Athletics Stadium at York University.
The 400 final will take place tomorrow.
