Caitlyn Bobb in action at World Under-20s – watch her race here
Bermuda sprinter Caitlyn Bobb is in action in the early hours tomorrow morning at the World Athletics Under-20 Championships in Nairobi, Kenya.
She will run in heat three of the 400 metres at approximately 5.15am Bermuda time.
The top two finishers in each of the three heats plus the two fastest losers will reach the final on Saturday at 11am.
Bobb’s heat appears to be the tastiest in that it includes Imaobong Nse Uko, of Nigeria, who is the only runner in the 21-strong field who has run sub-52sec for the 400 — 51.70 set this season.
The Bermudian’s personal best of 52.79 is the second-fastest in the heat, while her season’s best of 53.64 is third-fastest.
Dawnnette Bobb, mother, manager and former Olympian, reports that Caitlyn has acclimatised and got in a good pre-race practice session.
Early risers tomorrow can watch Caitlyn Bobb in action here.
