The 2021 cross-country series will begin on Saturday with the first meet at the Botanical Gardens, hosted by the Bermuda Pacers Track Club.

The meet is a SafeKey event for all athletes, officials and spectators who must present a valid SafeKey. The only exception is for athletes who are not vaccine eligible, those under the age of 12.

Each race is treated as an single event and no more than 30 competitors will be allowed to enter in each race.

The Return to Sport Guidance requires antigen or lateral flow testing for all athletes and officials, including fully immunised persons, who must have a negative antigen or lateral flow test before competing. There is a $6 cost for each test.

A testing tent will be set up, and tests must be completed prior to number collection. The test takes ten to 15 minutes to complete.

The test station will open at 7.30am with the first race scheduled to start at 8.30.

Covid-19 protocols after a spike in cases prevented the series from starting on September 25 as planned. The second and third races in the series on October 9 and 23 were also not held
