Ryan Outerbridge wins 5,000m for Franklin Pierce University

Bermudian Ryan Outerbridge led Franklin Pierce University to victory in the 5,000 metres at the Ron Oullette Invitational on Saturday.
Outerbridge won the cross-country event in Maine in a time of 15min 35.20sec, beating Troy Silvestri, from the University of New England by a huge margin of 15 seconds.
With the next Franklin Pierce finishers in fourth, fifth, twelfth and fifteenth and seventeenth, the university also sealed overall team success.
Outerbridge, who finished a superb second to Lamont Marshall in the Bermuda Half-Marathon Derby this year, will next be in action with the Ravens athletics squad at the Pop Crowell Invitational in Wenham, Massachusetts, on Saturday, September 14.
